Tour Plan
Day 1: Gorakhpur - Lumbani - Pokhara - 325KM
After arrival at Gorakhpur Railway Station/Airport, we will meet you from and drive towards the Gorakhnath Temple. we will start our journey by visiting Shri Guru Gorakhnath Temple located in Gorakhpur, which takes about 30 minutes, the district is named Gorakhpur after the name of Guru Gorakhnath Ji. According to the Puranas, Guru Gorakhnath was an incarnation of Lord Shiva. After that, we drive towards the Sonauli border which is 100 Kilometers from Gorakhpur. The road to the border is good and goes through many Tarai villages. We stop at the border for vehicle entry permit procedures that take approximately one hour. After finishing all the paper works, we proceed further. We visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha, then proceed further towards Lake-town Pokhara. Most of the road to Pokhara goes through mountains where you can see a lot of mountain top villages. After reaching Pokhara we will rest overnight in our hotel.
Day 2: Pokhara Local Sightseeing
Today marks the commencement of our exploration within the Pokhara valley. Our first destination will be the renowned Taal Barahi Temple, nestled on a small island adrift Phewa Lake. Following this, we'll proceed to the Bindhyabasini Temple, a sacred site where Goddess Bindhyabasini, sister to Goddess Durga, is venerated. Next on our itinerary is a visit to the revered Seti River, esteemed in Hinduism as a manifestation of Vishnu. We'll then marvel at the majestic Davis Waterfall, an awe-inspiring cascade within the Pokhara valley. Our journey continues with a descent into the depths of the Gupteswar Mahadev Cave, where one can pay homage to Lord Shiva. Finally, we'll enrich our understanding of mountaineering history and culture at the International Mountain Museum. The remainder of the day is yours to indulge in leisurely activities, whether it be shopping or strolling along the lakeside streets. We'll conclude our day with a comfortable overnight stay at a Pokhara hotel.
Day 3: Pokhara - Jomsom 170KM
Today marks the beginning of our expedition towards Jomsom, serving as the gateway to Muktinath. Nestled within the Mustang region of Nepal, Jomsom is perched at an elevation of 2800 meters. Enveloped by towering peaks, this narrow valley is cradled alongside the sacred Kaligandaki River. The journey to Jomsom traverses through rugged mountains, offering glimpses of picturesque villages, flourishing apple orchards, dense pine forests, and enchanting waterfalls. Along the route, one can behold the majestic snow-capped peaks of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, with the Kaligandaki River accompanying the path throughout. Come winter, the river freezes, while during the summer and monsoon seasons, it flows vigorously, fueled by rainwater and melting snow. Upon reaching Jomsom, we shall retire for the night at our designated hotel.
Day 4: Jomsom - Muktinath - Pokhara 210KM
In the early hours, we embark on a significant leg of our tour. Today's destination is the revered Muktinath Temple, nestled in the Muktinath Valley at the base of the Thorong La mountain pass in Mustang, Nepal. This sacred site stands at a staggering altitude of 3,800 meters, making it one of the world's highest temples. Within Hinduism, it holds the title of Mukti Kshetra, signifying the 'place of liberation' (moksha). From the vehicle stand, it's a 25-minute walk to the temple, as vehicular access is restricted beyond this point. Upon arrival, you may perform your rituals at leisure. Take the opportunity to cleanse yourself in the 108 water springs and offer prayers inside the temple. Once all rituals are completed, we'll return to the Jeep stand to commence our journey back to Pokhara, retracing our steps along the same route. Upon reaching Pokhara, we'll retire for the night in our hotel, resting after a spiritually enriching day.
Day 5: Pokhara - Manokamna - Kathmandu 210KM
Today, our expedition commences from Pokhara, embarking towards the revered Manakamana Devi Temple, also known as Manokamana, situated approximately 100 kilometers from the lakeside haven of Pokhara. Nestled atop a mountain, this temple is dedicated to Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Devi Parvati. Accessing the temple requires a unique journey via one of Asia's longest cable car rides, offering breathtaking views along the ascent. Following our visit to the temple, we will descend via the same cable car and proceed with our onward voyage to Kathmandu, a distance of 108 kilometers from Manokamana. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we will retire for the night at our hotel, rejuvenating for the adventures ahead.
Day 6: Kathmandu Local Sightseeing
Today, our itinerary leads us to explore some of Kathmandu Valley's must-visit sites. Our journey begins with a visit to Pashupatinath Temple, revered as one of the most important Shiva Temples globally. This sacred site holds immense significance and is among the most frequented tourist destinations in Kathmandu. Its inclusion in the UNESCO World Heritage Sites list adds to its allure. Following this, we will proceed to Guhyeshwari Temple, located just a kilometer away from Pashupatinath Temple, nestled along the banks of the Bagmati River. Guhyeshwari holds prominence as a Shakti Peeth. Next on our agenda is the Jal Narayan Temple, also recognized as Budhanilkantha Temple, dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Our exploration continues with a visit to Swayambhunath, popularly known as the Monkey Temple, a prominent Buddhist Stupa and monastery. Upon concluding our visits to these significant sites, we will return to our hotel. In the evening, you can immerse yourself in the vibrant streets of Kathmandu for a shopping experience. Rest assured, overnight accommodation awaits at our Kathmandu hotel.
Day 7: Kathmandu - Janakpur Dham - 390KM
Today, we embark on our journey from Kathmandu to Janakpur, also recognized as Janakpur Dham, situated approximately 350 km away. This city serves as a hub for religious and cultural tourism, renowned for its association with Goddess Sita's birth and her wedding to Lord Rama. Janakpur boasts numerous temples dedicated to these revered deities, including the Janaki Temple, Ram Sita Vivah Mandap, Ram Temple, Rajdevi Temple, Janak Temple, Ram Sagar, Ganga Sagar, and Dhanusha Sagar. Following visits and prayers at these sacred sites, we will retire for the night at a hotel in Janakpur.
Day 8: Janakpur - Chitwan National Park - 240KM
Today, our expedition begins from Janakpur towards Chitwan, also renowned as Chitwan National Park, spanning 240 kilometers from Janakpur. Upon arrival at Chitwan National Park, we shall take a moment to unwind at our hotel. Later, in the evening, we will immerse ourselves in the vibrant local Tharu cultural dance performance. Following this delightful experience, we will retire for the night at our accommodation in Chitwan.
Day 9: Chitwan - Gorakhpur- 250KM
Today marks the culmination of our adventure. We'll rise at approximately 5:00 am to embark on an exhilarating exploration of wildlife via jeep and elephant safaris in the jungle. Following our safari excursions, we'll return to the hotel to conclude our journey. Our day begins with a departure from Chitwan towards Gorakhpur, a distance of 250 km. En route, we'll make a memorable stop at Shashwat Dham, a Hindu religious site and popular tourist destination nestled along the East-West Highway in Devchuli, Nawalpur district. This Dham boasts a magnificent temple dedicated to Lord Shiva and a Vedic karma kand gurukul, along with the Sri, Sri Center for Yoga and Meditation, all meticulously constructed by the CG Group. Our journey will pause briefly, approximately 20 minutes, at the border for necessary paperwork checks before continuing towards Gorakhpur. Upon arrival, we'll bid farewell near the station/airport, cherishing the sweet memories of our Nepal tour, allowing you to embark on your onward journey. Trip Ends.
